TeaCamp project workshop at EDEN conference

On June 21st, 2011 TeaCamp project, represented by Vytautas Magnus University, University of Oviedo and  European Commission, is organizing a workshop at EDEN conference, Dublin - "Strengthening HE Modernization, Internationalization and Openness by Supporting Teacher Virtual Mobility”.

The workshop is lead by EC representative Patricia De Smet, Vytautas Magnus University representatives - Margarita Teresevičienė (Education Department), Airina Volungevičienė (Distance Study Centre), Zina Baltrėnienė (International Office), University of Oviedo representative Aquilino A. Juan Fuente, Katholieke universiteit Leuven representative Wim Van Petegem and other virtual mobility experts.

The workshop focuses on defining the current Virtual Mobility (VM) practices in Europe. It aims to provoke an international discussion on what still needs to be done at institutional and policy levels to support and mainstream current VM practices addressing VM common understanding in Europe, teacher VM impact for students, teachers themselves and HE institutions, and the barriers and problem areas that need to be addressed to exploit (teacher) VM practices in European HE institutions.
